Topical Discoveries

I am not sure how many of you have participated in a poster contest or various other art competitions, but often all they give you is a topic. In this case, all we were given was “New Directions” and that it had to be a poster. There were no “directions”, we just had to use our imaginations to take the topic and turn it into a concept. Immediately what I thought of when I heard this was new directions in technology. Our environment is ever evolving and changing, technology playing a key role in this. If that’s the case, why not give it some humor and give technology “new directions”, my interpretation being the juxtaposition between maps and the modern GPS. The poster is currently being shown in a gallery along with other interpretations of New Directions in Dallas, Texas.
